Since for the manufacture of the figures we first need to make a frame, we need to stock up on cardboard paper. An ordinary packing cardboard box is best suited for this purpose. We cut it along the bends so that the material is even, and it can be bent in the right places.
The very first helpers in needlework are scissors and a knife. Tools must be sharp and sharpened. This is necessary so that the contours of the product are even, a good tool will help not to spend a lot of effort on cutting cardboard.
In the manufacture of flowers, we also need a stapler and paper clips.
In order for the teething lines to be even, you need to stock up on a ruler. The ruler should be up to a meter long. Measuring tape is also useful in work.
In order to glue the corners in the right places, you need to have glue and tape in stock. Scotch tape can be either one-sided or two-sided, depending on how you are used to working.
Well, the last item for needlework is the napkins themselves. So that the numbers from the napkins were voluminous, and the napkins themselves folded well and kept in shape, they should be two-layer.
It is quite difficult to predict the required amount of napkin stock, it all depends on the size of the product, so just in case you should buy two more packages.
Frame preparation
After we accurately figured out and decided on the size of the future decoration, we cut out two pieces of cardboard. On them we need to draw two identical in size numbers.
To make the numbers drawn identical, you can draw using measurements on the ruler. Or there is another option. We draw the numbers of the required sizes on one piece of cardboard, then cut it out with scissors and put, like a stencil, on the remaining piece of cardboard.

Now the figure can be circled around the contour and cut with scissors as well. So, the first components of the future decoration are ready.
Next, we need to make blanks for the side of our frame.In order to draw the side faces, you need to put two cut numbers on the floor side by side, in the form in which the figure will eventually look.
With a sewing centimeter, you need to measure the length of the bent side frame on all sides. Depending on the number that you master, you may get a different number of additional segments needed.
For example, if a figure is prepared from napkins for a year old child, the number of side faces in it will be less than, for example, in a two. On average, the width of such a figure is about 10-15 cm, depending on its height.
After we have measured the necessary parts, we again apply the drawing to the cardboard and carefully cut it along the contour with scissors. It should be noted here that at this stage you can use soft and already bent cardboard, which served as the frame inside the box. This will allow you to easily bend the side parts and easily fix them.

Using a wide adhesive tape, we fix the side parts first on one side of the number, and then we attach the remaining second part of the originally cut frame. To make the frame easier to glue, wide tape must be cut into long strips.
The most difficult stage of work has been completed and the frame is ready.
Flowers from napkins
Now that the cardboard frame is waiting in the wings, we begin to prepare the flowers. Here you have to work hard, because there should be a lot of flowers.
First we fold our two-layer napkin twice. The result was a small volumetric square. Now we pierce the center of the finished napkin with a stapler and cut off the corners of the square to make a circle. It looks like a blank for a flower.
You can first make such blanks from napkins, and only then turn them into flowers. At the fastened napkin we raise the edges, starting from the very top layer. We leave the last lower layer even.

To make a volumetric figure with lush flowers, we strongly squeeze the edges of the flowers with our fingers, and then carefully straighten the “petals”. Such work may take several hours, but the finished decoration is worth the time.
Flowers can be of different colors. The white color in the composition looks very harmonious with any shade.
Collecting numbers
When all the parts are ready, you can proceed to the most pleasant stage of needlework - gluing flowers. To do this, apply a drop of glue to the lower even layer of the flower and gently glue it to the frame.
To keep the flower well, you need to carefully press it to the cardboard base and hold for several seconds. Thus, it is necessary to glue all the faces of the cardboard blank with flowers.
When the glue dries, carefully straighten the flowers from napkins, and enjoy the finished work.
Finished numbers can look completely unique if you add a little special decor to them. For example, you can decorate each flower with shiny pebbles, or decorate the finished decoration with sparkles.
You can also make a composition of balls, shiny threads and the numbers themselves. This decoration will look great in the photo zone of the holiday, will delight the birthday man and guests.
